For the production of “pre-cages” for reinforced concrete. By means of resistance welding, the
plant automatically carries out pre-cage assembly with stirrups and two or three longitudinal
external support wires. The stirrups, which may have different diameters within the same pre-cage,
are manually inserted in the kinked “V” shaped positions created with independent presses
(available upon request, by additional cost) at pre-programmed distances along the abovementioned
support wires and then automatically welded. The positioning of the longitudinal support
wires may be optimized for the need required in terms of height and width according to the size
and shape of the stirrups. In addition, the welding groups are not only independent and mobile,
which allow their individual positioning, but they may also be rotated, to enable the welding of precages
which are cylindrical or of other shapes which do not have vertical or horizontal sides. The
complete and ready to use plant comprises the following elements:
ONE TRIPLE PAYOFF “ GTRI “; with three coil holders for wire coils each having a maximum
weight of 3000 Kg.
ONE MACHINE BODY; on which are assembled the following devices:
three straightening units each comprising 2 groups of straightening rollers - one horizontal and the
other vertical – for the straightening of the three longitudinal support wires. Each of these
straightening units is synchronized with its corresponding welding unit and hence translates as
does the welding head;
• three electrically motorized infeeders, for the feeding of the three longitudinal support wires.
The movements of these groups are also synchronized with those of the welding groups;
• three shearing groups, for the programmed cut of the three longitudinal support wires.
• three resistance welding groups, for the attachment of the stirrups to the three longitudinal
support wires. Each head is mobile, may be translated to different positions and may also
be rotated;
ONE LIFTING BENCH ; a total of 4m long with movement in the vertical plane.
ONE CONTROL PANEL; electronically programmable for the all parameters of the stirrup welding
and positioning. Supplied with user-friendly “menu” structured software. Data insertion with graphic
display of the programmed and memorized pre-cages. Speed control of all the operational devices
of the machine. Memorization and archiving of work-cycle data. Active diagnostic system for a
constant monitoring of the efficiency of all devices of the plant. Predisposition for the connection to
an external computer by means of an RS 232 output, and for data loading with a bar-code system.
ONE COMMAND CONSOLE; for the positioning of the welding heads and the activation of the
welding.

Diameters of the wire for the stirrups: from 4 to 16mm.
Diameter of the longitudinal support wires: from 4 to 6mm.

Standard length of the lifting bench: 4000mm.
